Welcome to the website of the
Buckinghamshire Short Mat Bowling Association
Membership of the BSMBA is open to ALL short mat bowls clubs within the County of Buckinghamshire.
There will no longer be individual registration but clubs may belong to the Association for a small annual fee and all their members will automatically be included.
The Association in its new form, will continue to look after the interests of players and those leagues which are currently operating within the County.
Competitions organised by the BSMBA will be open to all individual members of those clubs. To see a list of member clubs click here. Member clubs
It is hoped that this new format will be of interest to clubs within the county, which have not, in the past, been registered with the Association.

AUSTRALIAN PAIRS
As with all our events, it takes a lot of organising. Depending on the number of entries, the schedule of play has to be calculated to try and ensure that all players get the opportunity to meet different opponents and on a different mat in all the rounds that are played.

Unfortunately, today’s games didn’t quite work out as planned with quite a lot of confusion as to which team were on which mat playing against which opponents. This obviously lead to frustration among some of the players and for this we apologise
Despite this, we muddled on and the majority of players did enjoy the day and prizes were awarded to the just winners of each section.
Due to the mix up, the score sheets became a little bit out of kilter with the actual results and so we will not be publishing them this time round. However, here are some pictures taken on the day.
The next scheduled open event is on Sunday 10th December and will be a pre Christmas spoon drive without the spoon (possibly a turkey or similar). To enter email to:

Bucks Single Mat Winter League
This league starts in October and all results should be forwarded to Malcolm Warwick who will compile the results table.
