In order to keep these score sheets up to date, it is up to the club captains to send in their results as quickly as possible to the Competitions secretary

VALE SHORT MAT BOWLS FRIENDLY LEAGUE:

This league is generally described as the “Two Mat” League and games consist of four triples playing ten ends with three woods. Ten points are on offer for each match. Two for a win, one for a draw, and two for the highest overall aggregate score.

There a nine team playing in this league and they are:

Beacon, Bierton, Chinnor, Marsh Gibbon, Thame, Stewkley, Wendover Dark Greens, Wendover Light Greens, Winslow.

During January and February, there is an additional competition called “The John Robinson Memorial Trophy”. This comprises teams of 12 players being drawn for playing positions on the night, with two singles, two pairs and two triples. There are two divisions, one of 5 and one of 4 teams. Games are played across two mats on a home and away basis and the winners of each division play a final which is held in April. The “JR” trophy is awarded to the eventual winners.
